Any place where land joins water drives me to replicate the feelings experienced in these wonderful spots.... The calming sounds of moving water or crashing surf, water lapping against the hull of a boat, the salty mist or humid air along the coast, the sounds of kids playing in the water or the patience of fishermen.

I'm lucky enough to have seen many of the world's beaches and coastlines, but what fascinates me more than the color of the sand or the textures found underfoot are waves along the shore. The oceans of this world are ever changing and there are never two waves alike. You can sit in one spot on any beach for days on end and never get exposed to two waves remotely the same. The water color, the sky reflected in the wave, the foam, the bubbles and the sound. Incredibly soothing for me, I hope these examples of waves and beaches and boats bring you pleasant peaceful thoughts and memories.
